Due to its special and unique architecture and natural location, Sighnaghi, the pearl of Kakheti wine producing region (110km from Tbilisi), is one of the most beautiful small towns in Georgia and is known mostly as the «city of love», a popular wedding venue. Its marriage chapel welcomes the newlyweds all hours of the day and night. You can enjoy walking in the city, eat Kakhetian food and drink wine in its restaurants and, of course, get up the Sighnaghi wall with the length of about 5 kilometers and 23 towers built in King Erekle II’s times in 1770s.
In 2 kilometers from Signagi the venerated Bodbe Monastery is located, which is a place of pilgrimage due to its association with St. Nino. Today, it is a nunnery and the St. George Cathedral, which holds the remains of St. Nino, the most famous saint, who brought Christianity to Georgia. On your way back to Tbilisi you will stop at one of the famous wineries of Kakheti region to taste the delicious wines of the region.
